 Chiropractic Techniques

Dr. McKamey, unlike many Chiropractors is skilled in numerous adjusting techniques such as Gonstead, Thompson, Diversified, Logan Basic, Cox Flexion-Distraction, Upper Cervical, Sacral Occipital and several others.  Many DC's specialize in just one or two techniques which limits the patient's options.  Dr. McKamey is a full spine practitioner and believes that while often it may be just an upper cervical or tailbone issue, the entire spine should be checked at every visit to ensure all vertebrae are exhibiting proper ranges of motion.  Also, unlike many DC's, Dr. McKamey will only adjust the segments that need to be adjusted because he believes that adjusting segments that don't need to be adjusted is not what is best for an individual's spine and nervous system.   For those who do not like to feel or hear the 'crunch', Dr. McKamey offers treatment using an Impulse Adjusting Instrument which is similar in nature to the Activator and higher in effectiveness and technology.

Deep Tissue Laser Therapy

Dr. Kyle has the only LiteCure Class IV Medical Laser in the area and is the only AIMLA ( certified deep tissue laser technician as well.  Deep tissue laser therapy, not to be confused with cold laser or light therapy, is quickly becoming one of the most effective healing modalities available to the public.  It is quick, painless, effective and economical, which is one of the reasons you won't just find it anywhere.  We have become a drugs and surgery society because these are just bandages applied to the symptoms rather than an attempt to get to the root of the symptoms and help the body heal from with in.  Deep tissue laser therapy does just that.  It does not help everybody, but at DTEC&R, we have approximately an 85% success rate with clients.  That is a pretty good percentage and reason enough to see if DTLT is right for you.  For more information, go to our Laser Page and be sure to visit LiteCure Laser's homepage for more valuable information

Massage Therapy
Massage therapy offers a natural conservative treatment approach that relieves musculoskeletal pain for many patients. Our office provides specific massage and muscular therapy that is tailored to meet the patient's condition and injury. The benefits of massage therapy may include increasing blood circulation, reducing swelling, relaxing muscles, relieving muscle pain and spasms, and aid in recovery and range of motion.

Lifestyle Advice
We often find it helpful to "coach" our patients on certain activities they should avoid or do differently to avoid aggravating their particular health challenge. Our goal is to help every patient achieve a fulfilling and happy lifestyle full of the activities they enjoy most. We recognize that each our patient is a whole person, and help them reach true health and wellness is a collaborate effort between our professionals and our patients.

Corrective Exercise
We teach our patients special steps and exercises to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.

Nutritional Counseling
We provide specific recommendations on nutritional supplements and healthy food choices to enhance our patient´s return to optimal health. Do you know which supplements and vitamins are good for you? Do you know how these supplements and vitamins interact with one another?

Spinal & Postural Screenings
Posture and spinal screenings can reveal important health information and unlock the door to improved health and well-being. We provide screenings at area malls, community events, health fairs and places of employment. Contact us today to arrange a screening at your event or workplace.
